My view on Racism 💁

Hello ❤,

My lovely human beings (and aliens)! 👀

I perfectly know that after all these negative views regarding racism, racism itself shouldn’t be a thing, but it unfortunately still is. So, to start, racism (as you may know) implies “prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior” OR “the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.”

I’ll be honest, I’m a (not so) little brown girl, with curly hair, with my dad being of Indian origin and my mom being of French and African origin. Ultimately, I’m basically a warm, sexy (kidding…or maybe not😏) cup of coffee, with some milk: some kind of Café Latte, or maybe some Cappuccino, or Vienna or probably Mocha or Chocolaaate😍… 😂 Well, I’m sure you get my point, but don’t my diverging yet distinct features make me the perfect prey for racism? For 19 years(+), I have met people trying to define me racially, when all I was and WILL PROBABLY ALWAYS be is a Métisse little bunch of happiness and craziness (Yes, I am😄).

Why are some people racist though? The issue is that people are too quick to judge and blame others for their problems. Do we really have to? Should I wed a man of Italian origin just because my dad or my mom has? Do I have to wed a Hindu or a Christian or a Muslim (I’m sorry, the list is long) just because my uncles and aunties told me to, because we are ‘racially compatible’? Can’t I reside peacefully in USA if I am of Islamic origin? Do I have to be white to be a Christian? Can’t I be a Muslim because I am a Chinese? However crazy I may be sounding, these things very often happen – the existence of nonsensical stereotypes and misconceptions is overwhelming and rather shocking to be honest.

My message is simple: we all bleed the same colour. Abraham Lincoln rightly stated it: “Achievement has no colour.” I couldn’t agree more with this: just have a look at the thriving individuals in the multiple life’s arenas, all you can see is DIVERSITY. In the end, it shouldn’t and doesn’t matter whether I’m black, white, Cappucino, Mocha, (😂) etc… I AM A HUMAN: Humanity is my race.

So guys, let’s stop the hate and start the love.♡

On this sweet note, see you soon dear readers 🌞
